To clarify the missing part, at Keesler AFB we copied code 3 hours a day 
with a pencil up to somewhere around 18 wpm.  During this paper copying 
period we spent 3 hours a day in typewriter class learning what a typewriter 
was all about.  After 18 wpm the pencil went into the trash and the 
typewriter went forever.  Later on Guam I worked high speed CW nets with a 
mill copying aircraft position reports from around the Pacific.  Really some 
good old days.  1953-54.
