I had a high school kid tell me the other day that he was interested in 
getting his ham ticket.  He went on to say that with the published question 
pool, it was just a matter of memorising the answers, and he could do that.  
He claims to know of several hams that passed the test that way, without 
knowing what any of  the questions and answers actually meant.  I guess 
that's what they were talking about when they said we need to do something 
to get more young people into amateur radio.
