Hello all,

Age 35 back from QRT of 8 years. Licensed in '89 at 21
Presently CW only on HF no mic. I work in the IT field and when I go
home I don=92t wanna see a computer at all and prefer not to yap.. =
Enough
yapping happen' all day.. :)
Other reason for CW interest is that I missed out on the CW height being
born in '68 and then not being licensed until '89 and the QRT time. So
now find myself reading everything I can get my hands on re CW and it
hayday if you will. And like the other emailers said, YELLING into the
mic is just no fun any longer, and, well,  it has the affect of waking
the rest of the house. :) Very frustrating..=20

Anyway.
Yes have 2 meter for wife KB=D8EEA (and best friend whom I got =
interested
in AR W=D8NRA and arm twisting from Dad WV=D8R for storm spotting etc )

Children: 5.5 yr old girl, 2.5 boy, 9 mo old girl and along with wife we
do CW every night with the code oscillator on the kitchen table.=20
Oldest is doing well, son he likes to tap the key, and well the littlest
one well she is just "happy" :)   ;p  Wife is very enthusiastic about
it. NOTHING goes on the kitchen counter, well for some good fortune wife
is keeping the key/oscillator there.. Hmm things are looking up, think
she is really interested..  Sometimes just grabs the key and sends
messages so kids wont understand.. Not gunna work for long tho.

Yes I am only up to 15 but it has been great fun, I like it, am
improving and my goal is higher.. I want to talk with all of you.

Researche the local CW traffic nets and working on some antennas to get
my QRP sigs out.

So just wanted to chime in to with the rest and say yes we are out there
and peddling to catch up and keep it alive..

Since we're talking about age, I'm 48 and only work CW.  CW is what
attracted me to this hobby.  It doesn't take much skill to push a
microphone button.......
