I am 44 and only work CW. Tried other modes throughout the 27 years of
cwing, but I they did nothing for me. The other modes are too much work. It
takes more of a fast thinking mind and physical fitness (wind) to yell into
a mic than to run my paddle. I dislike talking out of my yap anymore than I
have to after work. Nothing more relaxing than a good CW ragchew. As for
dwindling numbers of CW ops on the air, I call CQ less now than I did 25
years ago on 40M CW and I am not running a full 3-element Yagi @ 90' with a
KW like I did back then.

Learning Morse takes very little effort, just a little time. It is very
unfortunate that more hams don't stick with CW and find out how enjoyable
and relaxing it is. I know it is not for everyone, just as phone and RTTY,
etc. is not for me. We all have our needs and wants.
