High Wind Advisory
357 am PST Thu Feb 22 2007
...Wind Advisory now in effect until 1 PM PST this afternoon...
The Wind Advisory is now in effect until 1 PM PST this afternoon.
Southwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 55 mph will
continue through Thursday morning. Winds decreased overnight in
some sheltered areas...however widespread windy conditions will
develop again this morning as the cold front approaches.
Local wind prone areas such as Washoe Valley will see gusts up
to 60 mph. The winds will decrease by this afternoon as snow
moves into the area.
A Wind Advisory means that wind gusts of 45 mph are expected.
Winds this strong can make driving difficult...especially for
high profile vehicles. Use extra caution...especially along
Highway 395 and other north to south oriented roadways.
Expires:222100 gmt
