CVRC -- The Carson Valley Radio Club (Nevada)

About CVRC
English (USA)

The Carson Valley Radio Club provides an e-mail list (reflector) as a means of distributing information to the Carson Valley, Douglas County and Western Nevada and as a means of communicating within that amateur community.

Not only is this reflector used to distribute national and regional ARRL bulletins and wide-area newsletters, but it also tries to inform the amateur community of news and activities affecting us on a local basis; VE sessions, hamfests, upgrade classes, club meetings, emergency training and drills, fox hunts, picnics, antenna and repeater parties and all those other things you invariably find out about after they've happened, if at all.

This reflector was created to be a community resource, not just a CVRC resource. Every club and organization in the area is welcome to use it to promote their ham-related activities. Because no single organization can be all things to all people, the more we can cross-promote our diverse activities the better it will be for the entire amateur community.

Each subscriber can send messages to the reflector for automatic distribution to all other subscribers. This allows everyone to not only share those things they feel are of general interest, but to also request help or ideas with any radio-related projects or problems. In other words, a local ham radio "party line" for the sharing of information and ideas.

It is our hope this reflector will not only help inform the local amateur community, but will help to bring us closer together in the true spirit of amateur radio.

Everyone is welcome to subscribe to the reflector and it's easy to do. A simple e-mail message is all it takes and you can unsubscribe at any time the same way.
