Special Weather Statement
401 am PDT sun Oct 24 2004

...Significant precipitation likely in eastern California and
western Nevada Monday night through Wednesday morning...

At this time...the best chance for significant precipitation would
occur from Monday night through Tuesday night. Heavy mountain
snow...with 1 to 3 feet...is likely with this system. Rain will fall
in valleys with snow levels dropping near valley floors by Wednesday
morning. There is a chance of a light snowfall accumulation in the
Reno-Carson City area early Wednesday.

Winds are also expected to increase as this storm approaches...with
a period of strong winds possible late Monday night through Tuesday
across the region.
