[CVRC] CVRC/CRAPS Pot-Luck BBQ/Picnic/Swap (Reminder)

This is a reminder that the combined CVRC/CRAPS Pot-Luck BBQ/Picnic/Swap 
this coming Saturday at the Dayton State Park.

Combined CVRC (Carson Valley Radio Club) and CRAPS (Carson River Amateur 
Public Service) Picnic

The first of our two social events this year will be held on Saturday, the 
25th of May at the Dayton State Park. If you are not familiar with this 
exotic oasis in the desert, it is located 0.7 miles due east past the 
stoplight in Dayton off to the south. The Park has been spoken for from 
10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. on the 25th. A good show-up time would be about 
Noon and stay as late as you would like. There will be a $2 vehicle charge 
at the entrance as in all State Parks; sorry this could not be avoided.

We will provide 20 pounds of charcoal and lighter fluid and will bring some 
extra PLASTIC eating utensils and paper plates, but would recommend 
bringing your own as we have never had much luck with the plastic version.

This will be a Pot Luck and there is limited 110V power at the eating area. 
The BBQ is ample if you wish to bring some meat to burn and there is water 
and a small sink on the serving table as well as restrooms. The seating 
should be sufficient as there are ten full sized picnic tables which should 
hold 80 without crowding and is covered so there is plenty of shade. There 
is a nice lawn and nature walks, so plenty for kids as well as us older 
folks to do.

We will also have a casual tailgate swap meet. Bring all of those extra 
items you would like to "recycle" and look for that special something you 
just gotta have!

be added to the schedule.

This is only our Second Annual Pot Luck, so any suggestions are welcome and 
will only make it more comfortable for years to come. If anyone needs any
