Think I will use MYA the first period and ML the second period.
Both calls are licensed here.
Anyone else interested in using 2 different calls from the same locations
to bring the total points up?

Food for thought

Take care

Subject: [PVRC] Sweepstakes and the Highly Motivated Operator

Dear PVRC Sweepstakes Operators;

Here are some additional thoughts on the Highly
Motivated Operator (HMO) possibilities for sweepstakes
this year:

1. If you have a station available, and you're not
using it for Sweepstakes, please let me know and I
will add it to the list of available stations. I have
already received several offers.

2. If you have a station that's not going to be very
Active Sunday, please consider 'lending it out' to
some highly motivated operators.

3. If you are wiling to be a Highly Motivated
Operator (HMO) - please let me know, and let me know
if you need a second station/call sign to operate
from, or who you plan to do your second day of
operation with.

A highly motivated operator is one who operates at
more than one location, with more than one call sign,
in sweepstakes. Normally the operation is split into
two periods: Beginning of contest Saturday until very
early morning Sunday (say 3:00am). The second period
begins at 6:00am Sunday and goes until the end of the
contest. In order to stay within the boundaries of
the SS regulations you must:

1. Use a different Call-sign from your second location

2. Use a different "transmitter". This means that:

a. The transmitter you're using has NOT BEEN USED for
sweepstakes -or-

b. You brought your own (un-used) transmitter and
plugged it into the second station you're operating
from.

How much can this "HMO" concept truly help our score?

The answer is up to 20%, if we have about 20 highly
motivated operators, and of course MUCH MORE if we
have a larger count.

The mechanics are simple: If the expected single-op
score is 1,000 QSOs x 75 sections, an HMO might score
an additional 750 QSOs with 70 sections the second
day. That's an extra 100,000 points per "HMO
Operator" (These are conservative estimates).

If you have any questions, would like to offer your
"HMO" services, or have a station available for use,
please coordinate this directly with me,
