Subject: [CTSARA] Question

Good Day All:
I have a problem/question. My HF Diploe G5RV(full size) where the coax goes into the pl259 at the end of the ladder line broke. In plain terms, the pl259 came off the coax. The G5RV end (white blaun with pl259) didn't break. The coax runs from the balun about 20ft to the window pane. Do I put another pl259 on the coax end, or replace the coax? The coax is rg8x and it goes from the ladder line so239 to a MFJ (I know might fine junk) window pane. I am using the window pane to bring all my antennas into my second floor shack. It has a couple double sided so239's and a wing nut ground lug. It sits at the bottom of the shacks window and feeds my 10M, 2M/440 and HF leads into the room. Now back to the main question. Should I replace the coax with another length of rg8x pre made from HRO or change it to LMR 400. I think I have both. Thanks to all that reply Pro or Con. 73's.
