They may be handy, but I stand on my statement that
they should NOT be used for anything except
connections to a 62S-1!
Frankly, on the 32S-1, 32S-2, 32S-3, 32S-3A, KWM-2,
and KWM-2A the CONVERTER OUTPUT jack would be the best
to use if using one of the jacks for an external
ground! Unless one is using the equipment with the
62S-1 (or other transverter) that jack is NEVER used!
If the center pin on the RCA plug is not connected to
anything (which it should not be when used for a
ground connection), then use of the converter output
jack will have no effect what-so-ever on the operation
of the equipment as well as not presenting any safety
hazzard as using the screen disabling jacks would
present!
Frankly, on virtually all of the Collins S-Line
transmitters and the KWM-2 series, I would believe
that nothing has ever been connected to the converter
output jack. Thus, use of this jack should present a
VERY secure connection!

Those screen jacks are the least likely to be used for
any other purpose so are quite handy for connecting a
ground braid.
