[Collins] 75A-4 Loud Audio - an idea

Roger:

I had a similar case in at least two (a Racal and another non-Collins)
radios. Reasons in both cases: Bad ground connections, in one case from the
"bottom" or the case of the AF pot itself, and in the other of the shield of
the wire leading to the next AF amplifier (some AF was coupling "around" the
pot, being picked up by the long lead to the next stage).
Just an idea...particularly as your RX has apparently undergone some previos
mods or repairs.
