Thanks for the great information, Frank.   The crystal frequency 
synthesizer sounds to be very similar to that used in the B&W 6100, 
including the variable control for the last "digit".   I wonder if there 
may have been some cross-pollination between these two companies back then?

If 250 were made, it's surprising that the Climaster doesn't turn up 
more often today, since there were only about 200 6100s built and while 
rare, quite a few of them are still around and in operation.

It sure was a pleasure to exchange email on this list with Ed Clegg 
before we lost him, he was truly one of the pioneers and innovators of 
ham radio and VHF.
