That's my cue to tell my Thor story, Dave.   Probably 15 years ago I 
bought a Thor from a guy selling gear from an estate for low money, $15 
if I remember correctly, just for that reason.  The guy got tired of 
people asking about the missing power supply/modulator and walking 
away.   We talked a bit and I bought it, knowing it was worth that in 
parts, but also that I never would have torn it apart.   Two years later 
I was wandering around the same hamfest and a guy hollers at me, and 
starts asking me where I was from and a couple of other things.  I was 
trying to remember where we'd met before, then he reaches into his trunk 
and brings out the Thor power supply/modulator!   He didn't even know 
what it was until well after he'd sold me the Thor, and was hoping to 
find me so he could reunite the pair.   He wanted me to just take it for 
free, I protested,  but he said the widow had moved away and he had no 
way to reach her, so we ended up agreeing that a donation to a local 
charity would square things.
