Hey Pete, good to see you here too. Wondered if you might show up
knowing your affection for 6 and 2, along with some of this old gear.
I've got one of the prototype Comets here too, but it needs finishing.
Nearly identical in appearance to the 22er MKII sitting here for size,
cabinet, etc. From what Ed said, only 1-2 of the 6 examples were
completed and he wasn't pleased with the performance so they got
dead-ended.
I was fortunate to exchange email with Ed for a few years before his
death, when he was a member of this list. A truly interesting man,
with some equally interesting stories and information to share. /you
are one lucky guy to have met him and visited the factory. U JNs can
only imagine.
Is there a documented conversion for the Apollo for 4X150s or any
other tubes? Those 8236s are a pita to find.
