The low band converter was called the Allbander. Plugs into the back of
the Intercepter or Intercepter B. Single tube and drives power from the
receiver. Uses the receiver dial and covers the HF frequencies. Work
great. Years later, when in Lancaster, PA, they made a solid state
version, not designed for the Intercepter series, called the AB-144.

SS-1R is a great receiver. I've had mine for years.

Fair price is in the mind of the buyer and the desire. They pop up on the
auction site from time to time.
