I also have two Zeus transmitters. One is in great shape and operational,
and the other requires some work in the driver and metering section. I
also have both the Interceptor and Interceptor B along with matching
Allband converters. Both receivers work well but I prefer the operation
of the B. I also have Clegg's solid-state Allbander. This one was
designed to run with 2 meter receivers and/or transceivers(only in the
receive mode) and covers all the low frequencies. It did not include a
speaker as the tube version did. My Thor and 66'er have been getting a
lot of use this summer E season.

I had the pleasure of meeting Ed Clegg several times back in the early
years. When I was working as Circulation Manager for The VHF Amateur
Magazine, he invited me and the editor to visit his facility in Mt.
Tabor, NJ to view the manufacturing process for the Zeus, Interceptor,
99'er, and a newly designed, but not yet introduced, Venus transceiver.
We jumped on the chance to visit, since we were both avid 6 meter buffs,
plus we were looking for some advertising revenue. Many years later I ran
across Ed here on some of the QSL reflectors and also on one of the more
famous auction sites.
