[CC-ARES-RACES] CCARC Class outline-Ver. 2

Hello all...

     I trust you'll forgive the "form letter" format of this email but =
am trying to get out the word to everyone at once. The next Charles =
County Amateur Radio Club training class will start Thursday, Oct. 3 and =
will run for 10 weeks with the last class/test session scheduled for =
Dec. 12th. That way, hopefully, everyone will have their licenses by =
Christmas and you can all ask Santa for new radios :-). (We'll also take =
Nov. 28th off for Thanksgiving.)
     The first class will start at 6:30PM. After we are all introduced =
and determine what direction everyone wants to take the start time may =
be adjusted. Classes will be held in the Southern Maryland Oil =
conference room at the plant on 109 N. Maple Ave. in La Plata. North =
Maple Ave. is directly across RTE. 6 from the well-known Casey Jones =
restaurant/pub and directly parallels the railroad tracks. The plant is =
the last building on the left before the street dead-ends at the Indian =
Head Iron Works. (I never have figured out why the "Indian Head Iron =
Works" is in La Plata.) Don't get confused with the SMO Headquarters =
building on southbound 301 by Marie's Restaurant.
     I will be on travel until Tuesday, Sept. 17. If you have any =

     JD, could you support a VE session on Dec. 12th? Same format as =
last year.=20
     I hope to see all of you for our inaugural class on Oct. 3. Please =
feel free to pass on this information to anyone else who may be =
interested.
     BTW-SMO has been very kind in allowing me to use the conference =
room for classes. There are restroom facilities, soda and snack vending =
machines and a coffee machine and water cooler so this is a fairly =
comfortable classroom facility. No smoking in the building of course but =
there is a smoke pit just outside.=20
