After cleaning up the top side of the ranger, replacing 3 dead tubes,
one was a 1614 but i have spares, i fired it up on 40M first into a
dummy load.

I get 50W out on CW and that seems about right as it's only a 75W input
transmitter so my 6146 final must be good.  All the dial settings are
pretty close to what the manual calls for and i get a good 2.5 ma of
grid drive.

I'm pretty happy with my purchase even though it called for some work to
clean it up and finding the bad tubes.  sounds good on CW as i didn't
hear any clicks or chirps.

Now to rig up a Mic and see how the 40W or so sounds.
