 Hi Larry,
No you don't need to pull the front panel..they are accessible from the back of the panel after you pull the transmitter out of the case.

BTW, i cleaned up the topside of the Ranger yesterday, looks great.  
Turned the TX over to take a look underside.  WOW, it looks like it just 
came from the factory, it's that clean.

One question, do you have to pull the VFO front cover off to replace 
those lamps?  One is kind of dim, left side but the right side seems 
bright enough.
