Hi Bill,
My own scientific wild eyed guess (SWEG) has two parts. Most likely
those are different modes. I don't know why they would have to be on
other frequencies but I am NOT a digi fan. Second and probably less
likely is simply ignorance on the part of new users. I do mess around
with some of those modes but they give me the intense gratification of
*rag chew* QSOs that do not fit in cans.
Of course there always a few LIDs around who just do not care. But that
applies to *all* modes.
