[Boatanchors] DX-100 passed away today -

Hi All,

Attempted to get on 40 AM this afternoon and my beloved DX-100 passed away.

All was normal less than 24 hours ago.

Started to load her on 7.290 MHz as per manual.
Transmitter output dropped when I attempted to apply drive - took about
three seconds  - then fuse blew.

No!!!!!!!

Quickly shut it down.

Checked everything externally - all seemed OK.

Refused rig.

AC Power up - no problem.
Filaments good.
Applied plate voltage - no problem.

Wentvkey down and VERY carefully attempted to apply drive -  No output.

Haven't opened the beast up yet.

Anyway- before I do - does anyone have any general suggestions as to type
of failure from this brief description?

It's going on the bench this weekend - I'll have to hire the local neighbor
kid to hoist it up on the bench. He moved it for me months ago like it
weighed 20 lbs.
