[Boatanchors] [AWA] Hallicrafters???

Thanks to K4LJH and all who answered my query about eBay steering wheel knob. 13 replies, so far, varying from definitely yes to definitely no and many variations in-between. I have several similar knobs that I eventually hope to sell and I wanted to be certain that they are Hallicrafters before advertising them as such. Although my unmarked off-brand knobs don't exactly match the one for-sure genuine Hallicrafters knob that I have (it's marked Hallicrafters on the back of the rim), it appears that since they all fit 1/4 inch shafts, I could honestly say that they are useable on radios such as the SX-28. Apparently there were several suppliers of these knobs including Gordon, Coto, and Kurz-Kasch.

Is this really a Hallicrafters Knob? Looks to me like a rheostat or variac knob from which the metal pointer has been removed, and does not have the Hallicrafters molded-in name under its rim.
