Not necessarily Tom. Often, if you ask what they will take for it, of course, they will take the largest they can get. Who
wouldn't? And some will actually pay the first stated amount and off they go with the rig. But if you follow up with what's
the lowest you'll take, then the seller has to give the lowest he would be satisfied, or he has a pretty good idea you'll leave
if you don't have to have the item... It all comes down to how badly the seller does NOT want to have to take the thing back
home. Some have no qualms about taking an item back home if they can't get the price they want. Others make the decision
on whether to get the very best they can get .. which would be the lowest they can be happy with ... or taking the item back home.
If you ask what the lowest price is and the seller names the lowest, then you and the seller both end up happy.
If you're one who doesnt like the fun of bargaining, then you are one who will decide if you really want the unit and then you
pay the first price and you're fine with that.
