I've never heard of RF fogging film.

We agree that the voltages in MIG & TIG are too low to give off x-rays.

There is no question that metal arcs give off a lot of UV. When learning
to TIG weld, I made the mistake of wearing a short-sleave shirt.

An iron arc was used as a UV source in many labratories through the 1960s.
In fact, companies, like Spindler & Hoyer made arc units for this purpose,
very similat to the units used in theater 35 mm movie projectors.
