It had ZERO to do with the UV!

The badge was UNDER a heavy leather jacket!

It was even tested, and CONFIRMED to be the High Frequency that allows
the TIG to start without touching!

I do believe that having also been a certified welding inspector, AND a
Nuclear Certified Welder in position 6G up to 18" stainless steel put me
in a much better position to *KNOW* what is involved with the variations
of welding and the equipment in use.

I never got a burn from the UV in either TIG, MIG, or SMAW!

I would also say that I *NEVER* stated that welding gave off X-rays!
Voltages are "very" low, but have fairly high current. The current is
set to the required procedures that apply. Certified welding has a very
strict procedure for the process!

I have so many hours doing it that it isn't even remotely funny! I
burned off one side of a mustache doing one bead. It was going too good
to stop and put out the mustache!
