I don't know about this.  I looked at the label some time back and there is 
no mention of ferrous material in their products.  Also I have used it to 
repair tube caps and ceramic parts without degradation.  It is one of the 
strongest types of adhesives I have found, but I don't use the quick set 
type because of the temperature vulnerability.

Your mileage may vary and things do change.
