[Boatanchors] Question For Today

one simple thing I do that seems to save grief is I fire up test gear
especially the old stuff (anything with tubes in it) regularly and
leave it on for a few hours whether I need to use it or not.

Actually I do that with everything I have that has tubes in it.
Leaving the old gear off for a year or more seems to invite unwanted
surprises when it gets powered up.
