I order a lot of parts from Mouser on line and always get my parts the next
day. I order too many parts for this to be a rarity. Since moving over
from talking to someone, I find no extra delay. I think what the clerk is
saying is probably BS so she can keep her job. I like ordering on line
because I can see exactly what is in stock and what is not. This allows me
to pick an alternative part which has greatly reduced my backorder situation
with them. I also have less mistakes as I can see immediately if the
correct part has been ordered. (No more is it a zero or a letter O). I'll
never go back to reading my list to someone at Mouser on the phone.
At the Mouser web site you can also start working up an order, then save it
to their computer and then retrieve it later to work on it some more. I
love this feature. I can plug in an order I don't need right now, save it
to their system and then add another order to it later on and then have the
whole thing shipped to me in one shipment. This saves a lot of small
shipping fees.

"If you order on-line the order has to wait for a human to handle it.
Sometimes, this adds up to over a day. The staff at Mouser recommends using
their 800 number and talking to a human. That way, even before you hang up
the telephone the order is already down in the shipping department".
