This comes up from time to time and as usual my mileage varies greatly 
from some of the respondents.

I've only ordered from Mouser online, always use USPS which is one of 
the choices offered online, and the charges are quite reasonable.  I've 
never found any reason to call my orders in.

I've paid $7.00 shipping for a $1.95 plastic part about the size of half 
a toothpick for an old Mossberg .22 but Mouser didn't sell that.
