Did I ever mention that my novice station was a BC-610-E? The exciter
section, that is. Rig actually belonged to AF MARS but wasn't being used after
we received a new Eldico S-Line clone. So no one minded when I pulled the
250TH and bypassed it. Only had one crystal in the 80 Meter Novice band.
Needless to say, I didn't make a lot of contacts. :-) Receiver was an S-76,
which stayed on the crystal freq. Used the Eldico to check up and down the
band.
