[Boatanchors] In need of a Heathkit choke...

As an alternative, what I might be willing to do is to removed the big iron ... power and modulation transformers ... and send them separately.  that would lower the weight of the transmitter itself down significantly, and maybe lower total shipping costs.
 
I have two Apache transmitters in the shack and am evaluating which one to let go.  They have both been used on the air, but I admit it has been some time since they were fired up.
 
One thing about parting out is that many internal parts would not only work for other Apache's but also for the DX 100.  They are quite similar as far as circuitry.
