Back in the 60's one of my good friends had a nice SX-28. I guess I was
spoiled by it. I've been looking for a decent SX-71 I can afford. I missed
one last year. It was original except one small knob. But I waited to long
and when I went back to get it was already gone. That was just 30 minutes.
I have been thinking about trying a SX-100. I have a SX-110 that I think
looks pretty good but it leaves a lot to be desired in operation.
I did my novice year with an original S-38 ( the one with the real BFO). I
was 22 then and I did not know better. I learned all about AC/DC radios REAL
QUICK! I was a USAF S/SGT at the time.
