[Boatanchors] Tube socket problems

There are chemical "tin brightners" and "solder brightners" but I'm not
sure I'd use them as they might well leave a conductive residue on the
insulation if not washed off VERY well.
Also, some chemical means may produce Azides which are pretty haardous.
