Guys, you can employ whatever sophistry you want to get a clean
conscience. But you are exploiting the way eBay works for your own
advantage by using a trick plain and simple. It is not a stand up
above board way of conducting business, period and I bet deep down
most of you know it.
Yes there is nothing wrong with putting in a bid 30 seconds before the
end -- that is NOT sniping as other parties have time to respond if
they want.
Let's say some guy has his heart set on something and has bid $500 and
in the last 10 seconds it looks like he is going to get it. But then
someone snatches it away for another dollar. Are you going to tell me
he would not have given another dollar? Please.
Anyway, I have stated my opinion; I am not changing it so we may as
well get on with other topics. I like the idea of auctions ending
randomly to prevent this. I did not know that could be done and I
endorse it.
Okay Todd, have not been on 40 in a long time--hpe CU
