First, let's correct the spelling of "timing".

I've never synced with Ebay and didn't know you could.  I use a program 
to sync my PC's to the Naval Observatory "Atomic Clock" at startup.

There are a number of free programs out there to do this.  I currently 
use "Dimension 4" but there are many others.  See Google.

Ebay must sync to some source such as this because as member of the 
"Sons of Satan Snipers" I've never had a problem with a time mismatch in 
the last few seconds.  I remember in the old days our mainframes used 
WWV receivers.  How crude.
