[Boatanchors] need multimeter advice

Jay, et al,
In my continued quest for a replacement meter, I  came across one that 
has my interest. It is a bench model Agilent/HP 3466A at a very good 
price from one of the surplus dealers (might as well say, 
Valuetronics).

I like the idea of a bench meter since I have many other handheld. 
Anybody know about this one and what is the history of the HP models? 
I have no idea how old this is but the features are what I am looking 
for.
