There were actually three models, HW-18-1, HW-18-2, HW-18-3.
18-1 and 18-2 targeted the CAP and MARS markets and the 18-3 was for 160
meters. All were 2 channel units. A radio service agency also reported
receiving one in for repair that was for 160 meters and had a tunable VFO
in it. However, no model number could be found on the unit although
placement of most of the components and it's physical size and look
resembled the HW-18 series. The HW-18 is similar to the HW-12. I have all
three manuals.
