Mac,
It is all water under the bridge at this juncture.
it has been a couple of days since we established that a DX-100, Apache,
Viking, or the like would far exceed the SGC-230s abilities.
My view of one would be for mobile use with today's current rigs that
only do about 20W on AM, or run 125 or so on SSB.
The fixed base operation is more suited to the UT-2000 or the Heath
SA-2500 or some of the others that they have put out. The SA-2500 is
also an automatic one, whereas the UT-2000 is purely manual.
