For some reason, several of the true mica capacitors that Collins used definitely go bad.  There are a number in the 75A-4 that are automatic replacements.

This is NOT TRUE.  Micas are failing.  I've had several bad ones in R-388/75A's.  I'm not the only one that's found this problem.  I'm not talking about "micamolds" or "postage stamps".  Maybe Rangers are lucky?  Or don't have any?
