there was a news story here recently about our gas company which uses them here in Utah.  Seems that after going for
over a year, they discovered that the units were actually underreporting the amounts used.  So the gas company
sent out bills to several thousand customers that ended up being, in some cases, for a couple thousand dollars.
they said they were entitled to recoup  what was actually used.  The matter is going before our public service
commission, which has promised to investigate.   Residents say it was the gas company's screw up and they should
just eat it.  The public service commission will have the final say...
