For stuff like that I use an old tooth brush. Also, you can get something
similar to a tooth brush from the hardware store only it has steel bristles.
They're good for cleaning the antenna connector and anything else with lots
of crud on it.
A cleaning product called Simple Green seems to be a hit with the boatanchor
folks for general clean up. FYI a good clean up of the bandswitch contacts
is very helpful for the rebirth of your rig.
