I have had very good results with the Cen-Tech DVMs. Well worth the price
and not a fortune lost if you blow them up. I bought a dozen of the small
ones when they were on sale for $2.98 each. I have one in every tool box
and in my truck and van. Have given a few of them away! They have all
performed well. The test leads are chincy but who cares. Throw the whole
thing away when they break or the battery goes dead!
I have also had good results with the "step drills" they sell. Worked as
well as the Greenlees that are many times more expensive and break just as
easily.
Some stuff they do have is good...some is no doubt CRAP. Can't say I have
been "skint" if one of the cheap products isn't up to par or is just trash.
