[Boatanchors] NC-300 Band Switch problem

Gentleman:

I have a NC-300 with an unusual problem. When switching bands, the display 
get out of sync with the band setting. The drum appears to be turning a 
greater distance than it should and the display become incorrect quite 
quickly. Is there anyone who has experience with the NC-300 or NC-303 band 
switching arrangement that can assist me?
