Tighten all of the screws that go through the chassis
if you haven't already done so.  If your 122 was
factory built and has the rivits instead of screws
holding various thing to the chassis you have to
either try to tighten them up with a hammer and punch,
or, a "long term fix" is to drill them out and replace
with machine screws.

A lot of mechanical work but since the grounds in the
unit are made through these fasteners they do become
"flakey" over the years.  I fix probably 90% of the
"screwball" problems in boat anchor equipment that I
repair for others just be getting the fasteners
"tight" again.
