OK everything checked out OK crystal oscillator and VFO are working fine, 
I'm now at the final amp check, where it begins: "To test the final 
amplifier" on the lower half of page 51. Would it be advisable to bring the 
power line AC down to maybe 70-80 volts when I throw the plate HV switch on? 
I don't like arcs or things burning up, I have it at about 116 V right now, 
this is the first transmitter I've ever powered up BTW.
