Hi all,

I have a pretty nice National speaker, I believe the model to be NC-173. Pictures can be seen here:

Its pretty nice. Has some minor scratches on the top. I can take and send additional photos if requested.

I am looking to swap for an older model speaker. I am not very familiar with national speakers, but here are some models numbers I have found on the internet that interest me (from http://www.virhistory.com/ham/speakers.htm )

MCS http://www.virhistory.com/ham/spkrs/nat-HRO-5TA1.jpg
NC-240 http://www.virhistory.com/ham/spkrs/nat-240-spkr-02.jpg
NC-44 http://www.virhistory.com/ham/spkrs/nat-nc44-spkr.jpg
NC-46TS http://www.io.com/~nielw/nat_list/nc46.htm

I really like the look of these older speakers. I *think* my favorite might be the NC-46TS but I have only seen it in the picture above.

I am looking to see if anyone on the list might have one of these speakers in very good condition or better. Restored/repainted is ok, doesnt have to have original finish. And would be interested in my speaker as whole or part of a trade. I have no idea what these speakers are worth or what mine is worth. So Please let me know if you have a nice speaker, want my speaker and maybe we can work out a deal. Please email me large photos, it would me understand what these look like and which to get.

By the way. I am looking for 500/600 ohms or 8 ohms. I can fashion a transformer probably no matter what it is. I think I read the MCS is 7K ohms? I am not sure about that transformer, but there are ways!

Please email me directly as I have cross-posted this email and may likely get booted for it! thanks very much!
Eugene
