I have had great success with larger relay hum supression by simply placing a 
piece of tape between the pole piece and the clapper. You may have to 
experiment with tape thickness by trying different types of tape or using more than 
one layer.  All is fair as long as you have pull-in and enough space so that 
the contacts mate properly.
