[Boatanchors] LOOKING FOR FEW PARTS & TUBES

I thought I had some 6U5GT's but turned out they were all 6U6GT (a 6V6GT
lookalike).
But to correct a previous statement, GT doesn't mean octal base, although
most if not all of the tubes that it applies to are. It defines the shape of the
glass bulb as being straight (parallel) sided to differentiate the earlier G
bulb, which flares out from bottom to near the top. Octal tubes with
nomenclatures without any alpha suffix are metal octals. Then came the glass G's,
then the smaller GT's and finally alphabet soup. Some metal octals have alpha
suffixes, but none beginning with "G". Some octal tubes first appeared as G's
(like the 5U4G) and some as GT's (like the 6SL7GT and 6SN7GT). In which case
there is no metal version. So if there is (and I'm sure, despite Jacks's
wife's comments) that if he says he has one there is, an octal 6 volt magic eye
tube, it has to have a G or GT suffix. Be difficult to see the eye otherwise!
Wonder what the extra element might be in a 6X6GT?
