I wouldnt call my experiences anecdotal....  they have actually occured 
to me.   So as far as I'm concerned the discussion is moot regarding UPS 
as opposed to USPS.   I simply wont take a chance on UPS again....   It 
only takes once .. maybe twice... of a rig ending at its destination as 
trash before you dont want to do it anymore.   After all, if I wanted to 
trash my rigs, I'd take them to the dump .. not spend money to have it 
done by UPS.     Save the money and take the sledge hammer to the rig 
yourself if you want trash or scrap metal....
